Betty Royse

Betty received her Bachelors in Education from UC and has since been in the child care industry for 30 years.

She started teaching kindergarten, and then first and second grade. She moved on to be the Christian Education Director at her church. While in that position she was a preschool teacher and youth director.

Betty has been at the ECC for six years and also supervises early childhood students in their admissions practicum. She enjoys making the ECC a loving and happy atmosphere where children can learn through play.

Betty favors the notion that when she first started, the children would accidentally call her "mommy," now after 30 years she is accidentally called "grandma."  But that makes her feel good!
